STEP 1. PREPARING THE UNIT FOR INSTALLATIONS

Install door into wall structure as per standard Loewen instructions considering any local code requirements.

STEP 2. REMOVING SCREW TO STRIKE PLATE

Remove one of the two screws that secure the sill Strike Plate to the sill.

STEP 3. PRE-DRILL FOR SEALANT INJECTION

Using a 1/8” diameter drill bit, enlarge the hole for the screw removed in Step 2. Note: The hole should reach to the underside of the door sill.

STEP 4. SEALANT INJECTION

Using a high quality silicone sealant, inject sealant into the hole applied in Step 3. Note: Ensure enough sealant is injected into the hole to provide a seal around the screw and between the underside of the sill and wall structure.

STEP 5. SECURING THE SILL

Using the screw supplied with these instructions, re-install the screw through the sill strike plate and into the wall structure beneath the sill.

STEP 6. FINAL REVIEW & ADJUSTMENTS

Review the clearances between the door panel and frame ensuring they are even and that the door operates freely. Adjust the sill screw as needed to ensure proper clearance between the panel sweep and sill.

STEP 7. CLEAN-UP

Clean-up any sealant residue on the sill and strike plate being careful not to contaminate any wood surfaces.
