PENTECOST SUNDAY
RELIGIOUS
EDUCATION
Registration is now available for the 2015-2016 school year. St. Francis uses Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for the religious
formation for children ages 3 years old through 5th Grade.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is faith formation that pro-
motes a personal and life long relationship with our Lord. Rela-
tionships take time to develop and this is one of many reasons we
encourage you to enroll your child as young as three years old.
Registration forms are available in the front office as well as on
line. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have.

tas.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL 5th SUNDAY COLLECTION
Next Sunday members of St Vincent De Paul will be at all the church exits collecting cash donations for the
poor of this Parish. This collection provides the means to support the needy of our Parish. Please be
generous to this important effort. Our members attempt to follow the guidance of Jesus by visiting and
assisting the poor requesting help. We serve between 40 and 60 families per week throughout the year, and
we depend upon the heartfelt generosity of you --- our fellow parishioners. Your donations make this effort
possible!!!
“I prayed that this weekend would help bring us back to how we were when we were first married. It didn’t. Instead, we are better
than when we first married!!”
Strengthen, renew, and rekindle your marriage sacrament by attending a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend on May 29-31 in
Tucson or July 10-12 in Phoenix. For other dates and more information visit www.wwmearizona.com (Para los fines de semana en
español, por favor visite www.emm14.org)
PENTECOST SUNDAY
Why is it so important that we
register in a parish? Isn't it good enough that we go to Mass?
Why should we bother to use the envelopes? Registration is the official way we join a parish
community. Many people think that because they attend a
particular parish they automatically belong. Young adults
who have moved away for years, think they are still signed
up under their parents’ registration. Parish registration
requires formally enrolling yourself in your parish.
Registration is a commitment to a community, a way to
be included in the religious, social and ministerial activities of your parish. Your registration affects the
parish in many ways. Census numbers can determine how
many priests are assigned to a church, what benefits and
obligations the community has to the diocese, and how
Masses, confessions and devotions are planned and
scheduled. Registration shows you belong. It is also
necessary for certain benefits:
Sacramental Programs:
● Baptism, Religious Education programs ● Weddings
● Funerals ● Active parishioner verification for Catholic
elementary and high schools ● Baptismal godparent letters
● Sponsor letters for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Registering in your parish is a statement of faith and
confidence in the life and work of your parish. Have you recently gotten married at St. Francis
Xavier? Don’t forget to register as a family! You are not automatically registered in the parish,
upon receiving any sacrament.
¡No
