Donald (Gene) E. Hayes, Jr. is Of Counsel in the Memphis, TN office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He joined Jackson Lewis after 12 years as inhouse employment counsel and human resources manager with a large academic medical practice. He therefore has extensive experience in giving practical, realworld advice regarding employment law, regulatory compliance, healthcare, privacy, and disability matters. Before going inhouse, he concentrated his practice on the representation of employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Mr. Hayes is a graduate of Rice University and the Emory University School of Law. While at Emory, he clerked at the National Labor Relations Board’s Region 10 office in Atlanta and served as research assistant to Professor Charles Shanor, a former General Counsel at the EEOC. Donald  (Gene)  E.  Hayes,  Jr.  is  Of  Counsel  in  the  Memphis,  TN  office  of  Jackson  Lewis  P.C.    He  joined  Jackson  Lewis  after  12  years  as  in-­‐‑house  employment   counsel   and   human   resources   manager   with   a   large  academic  medical   practice.     He   therefore   has   extensive   experience   in  giving   practical,   real-­‐‑world   advice   regarding   employment   law,  regulatory   compliance,   healthcare,   privacy,   and   disability   matters.    Before   going   in-­‐‑house,   he   concentrated   his   practice   on   the  representation   of   employers   in   all   aspects   of   labor   and   employment
