Yuantiku Corporation Ltd. | software engineer intern
Jan 2016 – Jun 2016 | Beijing, China
Worked as a software engineer in Android team. Helped build quick input validation and
response system in Xiaoyuan Search. Implemented and optimized machine learning
algorithms in its internal search engine, reducing its response time by 20% and made
it possible for different user data sets to interact with one another. Also, I worked with
security team to help build the end-to-end encryption of Android app, iterating on anti-
spam system, finally reducing the information leakage frequency by 80%. I contributed
20000+ lines of code in its ad module. Awarded “the best programmer” in our team.
PKU data research center | Research assistant
Sep 2014 – Jun 2015 | Beijing, China
I coded up new analyzing tools for researchers. Used Symphony frameworks and shaped
background platform for data processing using PHP. I used MySQL to handle high –
frequency queries from users in Northern China, implemented an ADT for future researchers
to use, and decreased the query error rate to less than 0.01%.

Used Angular.js framework to implement a RESTful API based on Sunlight; in this project, I
used Bootstrap to optimize the front-end components, reducing the website's response time
less than 1.5s loaded and less than 0.1s for each query; used PHP as the back-end script for
interaction with server. Used Node.js and MongoDB to handle data preprocessing and
storage on server.
Open Library Application for PKU Students and Faculty
Sep 2015 – Dec 2015 | Peking University ECE | 1 of 4 core coders
Implemented a new programming interface for students to “retrieve” and “store” shared
information. Implemented an image segmentation & deep learning algorithm (derived from
CNN, which is used for processing large-scale images) for students to “friend”, “unfriend”,
“make connections”, “arrange calendar”. More than 200 students in PKU and THU got
involved and the recognition accuracy was over 90%.
Recognition and Sensor System for Smart 3-D Printing
April 2014 – August 2014 | BUAA | 1 of 3 major programmers | Under Zhang Hu
Implemented and optimized basic sensing and modeling algorithms for 3-D printing process.
Used Apache Spark MLlib to improve recognition accuracy and rule out noisy signals. Built a
bidirectional upload/download system for students to interact with their fellow peers about
new ideas by Java, MySQL and PHP. Improved the recognition efficiency by 40%, lower
the Client response time by 70%, and thus helped improve our printing strategy and
broadened our consumer base to over 1000 students.
