During the morning hours of Satur-day the 21st of July, Vall d’Or Golf celebrated for the fourth time in a round the “Trofeo Vall d’Or Golf”, on its premises.

The championship was played under the diverting modality “Four Ball Best Ball – Couples Best Ball”, shotgun at 9:30 am and awards for the 6 first classified teams and the Scratch win-ning team. The winners of the longest drive and the nearest to the pin (gents and ladies) were also re-warded. The 72 participants enjoyed

a course in absolutely exceptional conditions and the fantastic service which was rendered all the time by the organizing party of the tourna-ment.

Right after the competition the par-ticipants and their companions en-joyed a exquisite buffet on the ter-race of the restaurant mÁxime, lead-ing onto the awards ceremony, di-rected by the Managing Director of Vall d’Or Golf, Mr. Israel Rodríguez Rojas. The atmosphere throughout was of great cordiality.

The raffle which took place after the awards ceremony, was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Restaurant Port Petit trophy Last Saturday, the 4th of August 2012, the eagerly awaited Port Petit competition was held here in the installations of Vall d'Or Golf, under the Stableford Single modal-ity, with two categories for ladies and two for men.

Mr. Gérard Deymier and his wife, Mrs. Loulou Deymier, who have continuously during the last 25 years celebrated their tournament here at Vall D' Or, once again they radiated charm and a good sense of humour during the tournament and prize giving ceremony.

On this occasion they announced that any member from Vall d’Or, would be granted an ex-clusive 10% discount in the restaurant, on showing his valid member card from the club, until the 31st of October 2012.

Restaurant Port Petit, offered all players a magnificent buffet fol-lowed by a fantastic raffle with wonderful prizes.

On Saturday the 21st of July, during the prizegiving of this years’ winners of the IV th Vall d’Or Golf Trophy, the champions and sub champions of the Wednesday Golf Tournament 2011/2012 received their respective prizes. Many thanks to all of you for participating!

Last Wednesday, the 1st of August the every first round of the Wednesday Golf Tournamnet 2012/123 took place, under the Sta-bleford Individual Modality. In the Ladies’ category the winner of the day was Mrs. Anne Marie Muller with 36 points, followed by Mrs. Ursula Wolbert with 35 points. In the gents cate-gory Mr Wilfried Wolbert won with 36 points, closely followed by Mr. Ewald Kai-ser with 35 points.

Reform of the padel course Dear members and friends of Vall d’Or Golf we would like to inform you, that as from the 20th until the 24th of August, the pad-dle courts will be closed due to the renewal of the courts. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Due to maintenance and conservation works on the greens, we would like to inform you with due anticipation that on the 10th and 11th of September only 9 holes will be play-able. We therefore offer a 50% discount on the greenfees rates.

As from the 12th until the 23rd of September, the greens will be spicked and sanded. Therefore we shall offer a 15% discount on the actual green fee rates, during this pe-riod.

Our sincere thanks to all members and friends who are with us every Friday night in the popu-lar barbecue. We also very much appreciate the positive response to our weekly menu. Remember if you have any upcoming special event or celebration, we are happy to organize it for you.

Next Saturday, on the 18th of August, Vall d’Or Golf re-ceives for the fourth time, the Tournament of Bodegas Marqués de Velilla, under the modality of Fourball Best Ball-Stableford.

After the championship the participants and guests will enjoy a great buffet on the terrace of the mÁxime res-taurant.
