Our goal since 2007 has been to establish relationships between Benedictine communities in Sub-Saharan Africa and Delbarton School. We seek to promote a better understanding of Africa on the part of Delbarton, and a better understanding of Delbarton on the part of Africa. We achieve this while offering services for the apostolates of Sub-Saharan Benedictine communities, especially their schools, catechizing of the poor, assistance with the poor, orphans, and handicapped. By engaging with Africa’s culture, politics, economic and social needs, we gain a greater global perspective.
BEADS works in partnership with the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of St. Agnes Chipole and African Benedictines of Hanga Abbey. Our Benedictine communities operate four schools offering classes up to twelfth grade. Other apostolates include: an orphanage, medical clinics, electricity generation, water sanitation, and vocational training in carpentry, auto mechanics, and baking. Thank you for your support, Mr. Brian Theroux Fr. Cassian Kussula OSB
