longer-term view: Why investors play the hedge fund gameTo sell to end investors it is key to know what they want: performance, diversification, liability management, volatility, or simple de-correlated assets. Are investors buying asset management tools? Or an asset class? Where do these products live in the portfolio? These days, selling hedge funds is more about offering investors solutions, but who wants what? speakers include: Marc de Kloe, ABN Amro Private Banking; Gustav Lundeborg, Skanska; Guy Ingram, Albourne Partnersmoderator: Sandy Kaul, Citi

Can socially responsible investing and the quest for alpha coexist?Socially responsible investing has been a big part of the institutional investor mindset for a long time. Now that hedge funds are becoming mainstream is there a way to take SRI principles to the hedge fund market, or are these two ways of investing mutually exclusive? speakers: Ted Malloch, Yale University; Colin Melvin, Hermes Equity Ownership Services; Jan Erik Saugestad, Storebrand Investments; Daron Sheehan, Active Earth Investment Management moderator: Neil Wilson, HedgeFund Intelligence

Confessions of the asset raisers: making the most of marketing Marketing has always been a dirty word in the hedge fund industry and the proliferation of one person outfits has not helped the third party marketing industry. But as the industry matures, like in private equity, is there a place for placement agents? What do they offer and is it worth while creating an in-house team or outsourcing to carefully selected professionals? speakers: Alexandre Col, Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild; Robert Howie, Mercer; John Novogratz, Millenium Partners; Steve Foster, Credit Suisse moderator: Niki Natarajan, InvestHedge

Keynote speaker: howard rossman, chairman and founder of mesirow Advanced strategies introduced by: Niki Natarajan, InvestHedge Howard joined Mesirow Financial in 1985. He is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategic direction of the company with regard to research, asset allocation and client management. Is there a long term vision? speakers include: Henry Kenner, Arrowgrass Capital Partners; Jon Little, Northill Capital; Mandy Mannix, CQSmoderator: Nick Evans, EuroHedge
