It’s been another incredible year for the Team at Robina Family Medical Centre. We have successfully completed our renova>on; expanded the services we offer and completed a prac>ce accredita>on confirming the high standards of service we offer our pa>ents. The Team con>nues to work very hard to improve the quality of service and healthcare we provide. We see many new pa>ents at the clinic and the most pleasing aspect is that the majority of these pa>ents are recommended by our exis>ng pa>ents; the best feedback our Team can receive. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you who have supported and shared in our growth this year. A Merry Xmas and safe and Happy New Year to you and your family. We look forward to serving you in 2017. Travel Advice 101: Travel Vaccines

Most  people  spend  lots  of  >me  researching  their  holiday  including  flights,  where  to  stay,  which  sites  to  visit,  how  to  get  around,  etc.  and  forget  the  most  important  part  of  any  trip,  how  to  stay  healthy.

Travel Plans We  advise  that  you  make  an  appointment  to  see  us  at  least  6  weeks  before  your  departure  date  and  preferably  as  soon  as  you  book  your  >ckets.  This  will  allow  us  sufficient  >me  to  review  your  travel  plans  and  work  out  which  vaccines,  you  need,  the  content  of  your  emergency  travel  kit  including  medica>ons  to  be  packed  and  any  special  requirements  unique  to  your  travel  circumstances.      Mul>ple  factors  need  to  be  considered  when  planning  your  travel  vaccines.  •  Des>na>ons  you  will  visit?  •  Your  Age?  •  Your  Sex?  •  Whether  you  are  pregnant?  •  Will  you  be  travelling  with  Children?  •  Do  you  have  any  Chronic  or  Pre-‐exis>ng  medical  problems?  •  Do  you  suffer  from  mo>on  sickness?  •  Will  you  be  visi>ng  places  at  high  al>tude?  •  Are  you  Immunocompromised?  •  Your  mode  of  travel  –  flights,  cruise?  •  Your  length  of  stay  at  each  des>na>on?  •  Are  you  a  student?  •  The  standard  and  loca>on  of  your  accommoda>on?  •  Will  you  be  doing  any  mission  or  disaster  relief?  •  Will  you  be  visi>ng  family  and  friends?  •  Your  previous  vaccine  history?

Travel Vaccines  An  overview  of  the  vaccines  available  appears  below.  Please  visit  www.robinadoctors.com.au  for  more  detail  on  each  of  these  vaccines.

Vaccine Schedule  Once  we’ve  worked  out  which  vaccines  you  need,  we  need  to  schedule  all  the  vaccines  in  the  >me  available  before  you  departure.  This  can  be  tricky  if  you  need  mul>ple  vaccines  and  have  lel  it  for  too  late.  However  we  can  olen  assist  even  if  you  can’t  complete  all  your  vaccines  before  departure  by  advising  what  needs  to  be  done  whilst  you  are  travelling.      Example of a Vaccine Schedule This  informa,on  is  provided  as  a  guide.  For  specific  advice  please  ring  5689  1212  to  make  an  appointment  to  see  one  of  our  Doctors.  Copyright  ©  Robina  Family  Medical  Centre  Pty  Ltd  2016.
