The IEEE 802.15 Working Group resolves that no venues in Australia shall be considered for Interim Sessions prior to January 2010.

Discussion in support of the venue selection motion:• Sessions in Australia have not promoted participation and

therefore do not serve their “International” intent.– Attendance is poor– Some Task Groups do not scheduling meeting times.

• Sessions in Australia have resulted in deficits.– Melbourne: -24,271 USD (.15-06/0458r0)– Cairns: -65,099 USD (.15-05/405r0)

• Consumed 54,214 AUD (est. 41,532 USD) excess from Berlin• A disproportionate number of meetings have been held in

Australia.– 3 out of 45 to date / 4 out of 56 being considered
