Founded in 1915 and headquartered in Indianap-

olis, Indiana, USA, Kiwanis International is a

thriving organization of service and community

minded men and women who support children

and young adults worldwide. More than 8,000

Kiwanis clubs in more than 70 countries make

their mark by responding to the needs of their

communities and pooling their resources to ad-

dress worldwide issues. Through these efforts,

Kiwanis International is truly “Serving the Chil-

dren of the World.”

Dobytown Kiwanis Service Club was founded

in Kearney in September 1978. Our member-

ship is currently at 62. We meet every Tuesday

morning from 6:45 -7:30 at Perkins Restau-

rant. Each meeting consists of announce-

ments and a program. The last Tuesday

meeting of each month is dedicated to con-

ducting the business of the club. Our major

purpose is best said by our motto – Young

Children Priority One. Most of our projects

revolve around helping children and young
