Fort Defiance Branding Case Study1

Client Testimony: “Our company was preparing to commercialize a

major, new FDA-cleared medical device and was in need of a modern

website that would represent the company well, highlight the new

product’s features and benefits, and help convert visitors to leads.

MarketCrest used a brand design and development process that started

with a current state analysis and included our plans for differentiation in

the marketplace. From there, we were led through a series of design

milestones to develop our ideal look and feel for the website and new

logo. Using a multi-stage revision process, we honed in on the perfect

website, logo and branding guidelines for the product launch.

The experience was a good mix of strategy, incorporating our feedback

plus timely deliverables and we are very proud of the results. MarketCrest

was a joy to work with and we highly recommend them.”

-------- Chris Yerger, President Fort Defiance Industries

Time was of the essence when Fort Defiance Industries asked

us to help them with a new website and logo.

They were embarking on a new business development effort

and needed their brand and online presence to reflect their

position as a sharp, modern company with broad appeal to

their prospective worldwide military and medical clients.

To make the most of the limited time available, we developed

the website and logo simultaneously as certain design

characteristics and copy were completed. The new branding,

website, logo and story is next.

THE NEW BRANDING

FDI LOGOSThe new Fort Defiance logo would

be used not only on their website,

business cards, brochures, etc.

but as a metal “stamp” on the

company’s products—namely its

FDA-cleared P2131 Automated

Field Steam Sterilizer.

After multiple rounds of creative to

get the logo and the font “just

right”, they received a new logo

and branding that spoke perfectly

to their capabilities, core product

and target market.

Branding guidelines were documented for the company’s use on

corporate communications and with outside businesses, such as

printers and ad specialties, to help maintain branding integrity

across all platforms.

Sell sheets were designed for the launch of the new product. They

took immediately took the branding on the road to trade shows,

conferences and the largest pitch in company history.

the course of their 40 year history, their service offerings had

GreenLeaf Industries Branding Case Study3

GreenLeaf Industries came to MarketCrest for a branding strategy, redesign & website upgrade that included a responsive theme with inbound marketing characteristics.

The first phase was to combine industry and competitive research with feedback gleaned from internal strategy sessions to identify their desired position in the market and target client base.

We were then able to design branding basics, such as color, style and visual appeal based on targeted personas.

It was decided that a broad, hi-tech, industrial look with a “precision” feel would be the most impactful to their target market and still appeal to the current client base.

We worked with the management team at GreenLeaf through several

rounds of creative design, colors, and fonts to gain the optimal design.

Once the main logo was completed, the full set of corporate branding

colors, logo versions and usage were finished as well as business cards,

letterhead, PowerPoint templates, social media profiles and an all new

website.

As part of the branding package, we gave them a guidelines package and

series of “branded” templates they could use for communications.

BRANDING With branding guidelines in hand, we

were able to develop a website with a

proper user experience that reflected

the branding standards, and spoke to

the individual personas developed for

visitors.

In addition to designing and

developing the new website,

MarketCrest selected images,

provided content, copy writing,

product photography and developed

corporate messaging.

With the brand in place, the business was now ready to leverage

social media. MarketCrest designed branded profiles and

manages each one to ensure a consistent voice in the posting

schedule.

This is their branding success story!
