Numbering System.

+ There are over 1,500 solid (spot) colors that comprise the

PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM® for printing ink on paper.

+ These colors are achieved by mixing the

PANTONE Basic Colors.

Numbering System.+ The majority of these colors are referred to using a color

number that includes a 3-digit or 4-digit number followed by

a C, U or M suffix for Coated, Uncoated and Matte paper,

respectively.

+ Colors from the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE have the

codes PANTONE 100 to PANTONE 7547.
