Help us celebrate stewardship for the third year in a rowAt The Dairy Mail we believe in recognising and rewarding good stewardship within our dairy farming industry. If you know a dairy farmer who embodies good dairy stewardship, nominate them for the 2019 Milk Producers’ Organisation (MPO) Nedbank Stewardship Awards, which are presented in association with The Dairy Mail.

HOW?

This year’s winner will again be announced at the annual MPO gala dinner before jetting off to New Zealand for a stewardship tour sponsored by Nedbank, valued at R40 000. In addition, the farmer in second place will receive R20 000 from Nedbank towards their stewardship goals. Read all about the awards and the tour in the December 2019 issue of The Dairy Mail.

Any South African dairy farmer is eligible to be nominated.

There will be a judging process, including farm visits, and farms will all be judged using the MPO 3P Metric. Nominated farmers will also receive feedback based on this report in order to further

improve their sustainability efforts.
