Everyday early in morning, a Zen

master asked his disciples, that how

many of them bathed this morning.

All hands went up.

Next question : how many of those

were aware that they bathed.

Not a single hand was raised.*

• Bathing is an act.

• Bathing with complete awareness is different.

• Surely we all, must have bathed, brushed our teeth.

• Reflect how many of us were aware of what we aware of the water on

our body.

• Were we aware when our body was just getting ready after the bath,

and our life was getting rejuvenated after the bath.

• How many of us were aware of all the set of things that happened.

• A king went to a Master, and asked “ Teach me the way to

enlightenment”. All those practices, knowledge and steps, that you

practice.

• I eat when I eat and sleep when I sleep. That’s all I do, replied the

Master.

• King was confused, perplexed.

• Master explained’ when I eat, I only eat, when I sleep, I only sleep, I

don’t do anything else.

• Recall how we eat.

• Either on the phone, or watching television, or with the lap top, or

flipping a newspaper, magazine, or simply yapping, thinking aimlessly.

• Reflect, if you were calm, sitting quietly and eating, you spouse would

have been there to report some issues, news of the house of that day.

• So one way or another, when we eat, our mind does everything else,

except eating, focusing on food.

• I do everything else but eat.

• We treat food with such scant respect.

• Its just a form of garbage being stuffed through our mouth.

• That’s the way most of us are treated by food, as a garbage bag.

• It thus withhold energy, we feel more fatigued after having it.

• If i am aware of my food, I relish it, savor it, enjoy it, it then provides me

with abundant nourishment, energy, velocity and agility.

This is the way we Sleep

• When I sleep. I do everything else but sleeping.

• Cause, only when I sleep, I dream, I thus experience nightmares and

fear strokes.

• Eventually a disturbed sleep.

• Lets catch ourselves in the act.

• Become aware.

• This, thus, will set our inner transformation into motion.
