How does Claudius use and manipulate Laertes

own grief and anger? What is the plan for Hamlet?

Laertes will challenge Hamlet to a fencing duel. Laertes will be fighting with a sharp sword – able to

wound. The tip of the sword will contain poison. If Hamlet avoids getting wounded or even grazed

by the sword, Claudius will be ready with a poisoned cup.
