will help you set up your wireless gateway and quickly connect

Set up

Step 1Locate the telephone jack closest to your computer and insert the telephone jack

splitter into this jack.

Step 2If the telephone jack will be used for a telephone as well, insert a microlter into

one of two ports of the telephone jack splitter and connect your telephone to

that microlter.

Microlters eliminate intererence during telephone calls.

Step 3Connect the remaining microlters to all other telephone jacks in your home that

are connected to a telephone, fax machine, answering machine or any other

equipment.

Step 4Attach the gateway antenna to the antenna connector by rotating it clockwise

until it is secured.

Step 5Plug one end of the telephone cable into the empty port on the telephone

jack splitter and the other end into the grey DSL port on the back of the

wirelessgateway.

Important: Do not connect a microlter between the wireless gateway and

the telephone jack splitter.

Step 6Connect the two piece power adaptor together. Connect the power adaptor

to the wireless gateway and plug it into the closest power outlet.

Step 7Toggle the power switch on the back of the wireless gateway to the ON position

Step 10Open your Internet browser (ie. Internet Explorer).

Follow the TELUS Internet setup screens to accept

the TELUS service agreement and to complete your setup.

Important: Depending on your security settings, you may have todownload and run the TELUSInternetInstallWizard beore TELUS can

complete the installation o TELUS Internet services.

Congratulations, you have completedthe TELUS Internet set up process.

Trouble shooting

Power lightis not green

DSL light

is not green

n Check your power adaptor to ensure it isconnected to a live outlet check that the

outlet works or try a different power outlet

for the wireless gateway

n Ensure your Internet service activation date

has arrived (typically 5 business days

after your order has been placed)

n Verify the telephone cable is properlyconnected to the wireless gateway

(grey DSL port) and the telephone jack

n Ensure that you do not have a microfilter

connected to the telephone cable that

connects your wireless gateway to the

telephone jack

n Test the telephone line is active by plugging

in a phone and listening for a dial tone

n If these steps did not solve the issue,

toggle the power switch to the off position

for 30 seconds to reboot the wireless

gateway

connected from the Ethernet/LAN port on

your wireless gateway to the Ethernet/LAN

port on your computer

n Within the Internet network settings on your

computer, ensure that the Ethernet connection

is set to enabled

n Toggle the power switch to the off position for30 seconds to reboot the wireless gateway

n A blinking or solid Internet green light means

the Internet is working

n Gateway is receiving a rmware update

n Click theApple menu

n Choose System Preerences

n Click the Network Icon

n From the show dropdown menu, select

Built-in-Ethernet

n Choose theTCP/IP tabn Set the congure menu to Using DHCP

n Leave the remaining elds blank

n ClickApply now and close window

n Verify that the following four lights appear on

your wireless gateway (Power, Ethernet/LAN,

DSL and Internet). If not, please review the

trouble shooting section for the light that isnot lit.

n If this does not solve the issue, toggle the

power switch to the off position for

30 seconds to reboot the wireless gateway

How do I replace my current wireless gateway with a new one?n Unplug your old wireless gateway and follow the setup instructions beginning

on page 3n If you currently use a wireless network, you will have to re-establish

your wireless settings for the new wireless gateway by visiting:

TELUS.com/internetsetup

What is my TELUS username and password?n The TELUS username and password were provided when you ordered

the service and allow you to access email, TELUS security services and

webspace. If you can not remember your username and password

please call 310-TECH (8324).

How do I setup an additional computer to access my email and

establish my wireless home network settings?n Connect an additional computer to your wireless gateway with an Ethernet

cable to one of the free LAN ports on the back of the wireless gateway.

n Launch your Internet browser on your additional computer.
