GREETINGS FROM YOUR LTG!

Hey, hey, hey!

I hope you all have been living your summers

to the fullest! For some of us, our families love

to travel. And for others, Netflix continues to

be our best friend. Whichever way you

choose to celebrate your summer, I hope

you have continued to keep service and

your Key Club spirit close to your heart. Upon

arriving home from International Convention

2014, I was able to see Key Club in a different

perspective. Sometimes we forget that Key

Club is indeed the oldest and largest service

program for high school students, serving

over 31 countries. This summer, it is our job to

rejuvenate and perfect our Key Club

knowledge and let our peers know what we

stand for. I couldn’t believe I was given the

opportunity to meet Key Clubbers across the

country and even places such as the Baha-

mas. You are part of something big– bigger

than you could ever imagine. I promise.

“International Convention 2014 was a week of Disneyland

magic, warm weather, hyper Key Clubbers, exciting ses-

sions, and insightful workshops. Taking place in sunny Ana-

heim, California, ICON gathered Key Clubbers from around

the world who stayed at the Anaheim Mariott Hotel and

Convention Center. PNW Key Club spent the first two days

of our stay in Disneyland, enjoying the rides and magic of

the happiest place on earth. Wednesday night we had a

Meet and Greet to get to know other Key Clubbers and the

next three days consisted of the opening, general, and clos-

ing sessions, House of Delegates to vote on important

amendments, and lots of workshops for everyone. PNW

was lucky enough to have our very own Kevin Zhang run

for and win the title of Key Club International Vice President

during ICON! “

A message from your International Vice President,

Kevin Zhang

Hello Pacific Northwest District Key Clubbers!

Over this past week, I along with 39 other PNW Key Clubbers and six Kiwanis chaper-

ones had the opportunity to attend the 71st annual International Convention in the vibrant

city of Anaheim, California. While there, we had the opportunity to attend educational

workshops, meet Key Clubbers from across the world, and elect the 2014-2015 Key Club

International Board. I am truly humbled and honored to announce that I was chosen out

of a field of four other highly qualified candidates to be your next International Vice Presi-

dent.

My biggest support throughout the entire journey, from the moment I decided to

run until my name was announced on stage, was the entire Pacific Northwest District. So

let me take this time to thank every single one of you- all 13,000+ members. It was your

support that got me through not only ICON week but the months leading up to it. Thank

you to everyone that messaged be “good luck” and to all of those that congratulated me

afterwards. Even though many of you did not attend ICON 2014, I still felt as if all of you

were alongside me. I look forward to personally thanking many of you as I travel to some

of the upcoming area rallies. To all the graduating seniors, even though I will not have the

opportunity to serve you for this upcoming year, I hope that many of you will decide to

join Circle K in college and eventually Kiwanis.

Once again, THANK YOU to the mighty Pacific Northwest District! I look forward to

yet another fantastic year of service, friendship, and growth not only for Key Club Interna-

tional but also for our district!

In Service,

Kevin Zhang
