POLAR BEARS Being awarded as being an Outstanding Polar Bear of the

month means they have been nominated and chosen for

their hard work, dedication, and personal growth as a true

Key Clubber. The following are OUTSTANDING Polar Bears

for the month of June:

Potential ideas for service projects (as suggested

by SP committee) are:

Pencils of Promise

YMCA after school programs

School supplies/book drives

Save the Children

Working with K-kids/Builders club

Tutoring programs

What is the spotlight on service program? It is a program created by the Service Project committee

to promote International and District initiatives and to help

promote service overall

When is our service project submission due? Project Submissions are due on the 5th of each month

following the project

CNH GOALS

In honor of the 100th birthday of Kiwanis this year, our

theme is Celebrate: Service, Leadership, and Family.

: 5 service projects per

month Help serve your home, school, and community.

: Every member is

a leader Having an officer title does NOT make you a leader!

: Save 5 lives from MNT

Help us reach $500,000 goal by 2015 and donate! It

only takes a $1.80 to save a baby and their mom!

What are dues? Dues are annual payment that renews your membership, considering you to

be an official member to Key Club International.

How much are they? May vary among each club ($11.50 - $20)

PTP: Pediatric Trauma Program

What can my club do to help?

Movie night

o Spread awareness

o Show short video explaining PTP

before movie

o Admission and/or sell snacks to

fundraise

Safety assembly

o Hold at elementary, middle, junior

high, or high school

o Discuss safe driving and seatbelt

use

Bicycle rodeo

Teach children about the

All profits go to PTP

What is PTP?

PTP is a program sponsored by Kiwanis after

recognizing the serious need to educate others

about child’s safety. All funds go towards

educating doctors, purchasing equipment, and

spreading awareness to help prevent child

injuries. 90% of all unintentional injuries can be

prevented. 8.4 million emergency room visits a

year due to accidental child injuries.

Instead of buying a

donated to UNICEF to

SAVE a baby’s life.

IT ONLY TAKES $1.80 TO PROVIDE 3 DOSES OF THE VACAINATION!

CNH Key Club pledged to

raise $500,000 by 2015 to

eradicate Maternal Neonatal

Tetanus.
