•The consumers panel met and learned what was expected from them

•They’ve worked then on their Institutions with more people

•They’ve proposed changes, based on the questions raised by the users

•They’ve break up the modules in to smaller units, accordingly to the issues that the users wanted to discuss

The importance of voting: If we don’t vote, someone will decide for us!

The Modules…Problems/Difficulties

•Some concepts were not easy to understand:

•Justice•Rights•Laws•Use of democracy•Control•Stigmatization

•It was difficult to keep focus (the modules were too big)

•Some issues we could not relate

•They were too negative (focused on what are the barriers and not to many successful examples)

•4 areas: administrative section, library, direct line, planning and study department, board council

•1 week placements

•Evaluation

•The ones with best evaluation were chosen to go to the European placements

•Visiting the European Parliament, talking with MEP Ilda Figueiredo and with Mrs Flamminia Bussachinni, learning about European politics

One regret…Although we’ve contacted several MEP’s only Mrs Ilda Figueiredo received us!

The Future

• To use the modules in training sessions • To disseminate as much as possible• To lobby with other groups• To sensitize people to our struggle• To work together with politics

We want to have a voice and decide about our lives!

We will keep on fighting!
