Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards enforces the National Compulsory Standards for the labelling of: DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES FOOTWEAR GARMENTS PRE-PACKAGED GOODS TEXTILES AND TYRES to safeguard public health, safety and the environment.
These standards require that specific information be stated on the labels of products covered by National Compulsory Standards.
ACCORDINGLY,IT IS AN OFFENCE FOR BUSINESSES TO SELL PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT
CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THESE COMPULSORY
STANDARDS.
