assist the Club Youth Directors to get a handle on the Youth Portfolio and to
run it like a BOSS.

• Keep your Club’s Rotary Youth Alumni engaged with your
club
• Engage Committee Members – give responsibility,
delegate, don’t do everything!
• Have Club members participating in Youth Projects and
Activities
• Communicate with committee, club members and
community

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS YOUTH DIRECTOR
It is still up to you..
• Plan the year – month by month – preparation is key!
• Prepare a Budget in partnership with the Treasurer
• Have regular Youth Activities throughout the year
• September – Youth Month
• Develop good relationship with local schools.
• Remember, a lot of these programs dovetail in to one
another.

It is seriously up to you..
• Never ever waste an audience……….IMPORTANT**
• Stay close to your membership director. New members
could be the parents of the young people you engage with.
• If you’re not fired with enthusiasm – you’ll be fired with
enthusiasm – Vince Lombardi.
• Youth is not wasted on young people.
• Do not act your age….remember, you are in youth.
