Our first Bulletin for a while, we trialled a Zoom club meeting last Monday night
with an acceptable result for a first try, some 13 members managed to log-on, One thing we need to address is each member setting up their microphone audio levels
to an acceptable spot, some people one could hear quite plainly others hardly at all.
Looking forward to the next occasion we ‘Zoom In’
I really feel for the rest of the world, we in Western Australia are certainly living in
the lucky country, thanks to our Australian and State governments taking
progressively decisive action over the last 3 or 4 weeks, I believe we are winning
the battle although we have a way to go before life can ever return to any sort of
normality.
Sadly from where we sit on our balcony we have broad view over Churchill Park, It
disturbs me deeply at the numbers of people who blatantly disregard our isolation
and exercising rules, parents allowing children to play on swings etc, even adults
sitting on swings, very elderly seniors with walking frames walking around, sitting
on park benches, people in groups of up to four sitting at gazebo tables eating food,
then leaving and soon others sit down and replace them, they may as well be
shaking hands with strangers. One simple question: “What part of STAY HOME
don’t they understand. These comments don’t apply to the countless other local
residents exercising and moving around in an acceptable and conforming manner.
Please stay safe and make sure we all have a future to look forward to.

ZOOMing into the technological world we conducted our first e-meeting via ZOOM. 13 members logged on to this new experience. I thank Max for being instrumental in getting the concept up and running and preparing all the necessary steps.
Thank you to everyone for giving it a go. Three people apologised for their non-attendance. We would like to hear for anyone else that was unable to attend to see if you need help with the new way of having meetings. The meetings will be contained to 40 minutes as that is the stipulated time frame set by ZOOM before a payment is required. Those that attended moved to continue the weekly ZOOM meeting. Hopefully we will have more next week. Light hearted fun and some giggles along the way. There is a Board Meeting set for this Thursday, again on ZOOM. If you need anything to be discussed please don’t hesitate to phone or email your comments.
Stay safe and enjoy the break from the norm.

Zoom Video Communications.
Zoom Video Communications is an American remote conferencing services company headquartered in San Jose, California. It provides a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.
Zoom's namesake software is among the most popular remote meeting solutions in many countries. It is noted for its reliability and ease of use, especially when compared to competitors. Zoom has faced significant controversy due to the revelation of a number of security vulnerabilities found in its software, as well as allegations during the recent coronavirus pandemic of poor privacy and security practices.
Zoom was founded in 2011 by Eric Yuan, a lead engineer from Cisco Systems and its collaboration business unit WebEx.
The service started in January 2013, and by May 2013 it claimed one million participants. During the first year of its release, Zoom established partnerships with B2B collaboration software providers, such as Redbooth (then Teambox), and also created a program named "Works with Zoom", which established partnerships with multiple hardware and software vendors such as Logitech, Vaddio,
and InFocus.
By June 2014, Zoom had 10 million users. In February 2015, the number of participants utilizing Zoom Video Communication's chief product, Zoom Meetings, reached 40 million individuals, with 65,000 organizations subscribed. The company had hosted a total of 1 billion meeting minutes since it was established.
In March 2019, Zoom filed to go public on the NASDAQ; on April 18, 2019, the company went public, with shares up more than 72%, with an Initial public offering of US$36 a share. The company was valued at just under US$16 billion by the end of its IPO

Wendy has a new car, a Toyota Corolla Hybrid, after taking delivery and prior to leaving
home on the first occasion next day, Wendy unlocks the car, (keyless entry) gets ready to
move off, what now Bob? Car making no sound, nothing happening, Bob “just press the
accelerator and away you go under electric power”, so no sound at all, how eerie thinks
Wendy.
During the difficult times we are in John Iriks had occasion to travel to Myaree to pick up a
computer, driving along thinking how nice it was to out and about during a legitimate drive,
got carried away on the freeway missed the turn off and ended up at Canning Highway, ok
back to Melville, heading home in just the same frame of mind driving along thinking how
nice it was, missed the Mortimer Road turn off ended up turning off at Mundijong Road.

I don't think it's going to be that hard to stay 6 feet away from my wife during the
outbreak...that's 94 feet closer than the restraining order says.
What do you call ten rabbits marching backwards? A receding hareline.

We celebrate Jesus brutally dying on the cross by getting a giant bunny rabbit to hide chocolate

I can’t help but feel there is some crucial information missing somewhere.

Since living in Rockingham and enjoying broad views over Cockburn Sound and developing an interest
in shipping movements such as bulk cargo vessels, tankers, naval ship movements and lately cruise-ships.
There are free web-sites including ‘The Port of Fremantle’ where one can track the movement of shipping
not only in this vicinity but the world.
I might say that I was ‘blown-away’ by the sheer volume of craft sailing around our planet at this time.
The two screen-shots below were taken this week.
Generally I think the blue graphics are cruise or passenger ships, the red, tankers and the green, cargo
vessels
( I hope I haven’t infringed any copyright by showing these charts, if so I beg forgiveness)
One other query? MH370 came down in the Indian Ocean, how come no-one saw it?
