General safety instructions for assembly
DANGERHazard of severe and life-threatening injuries due to pinching, pulling, squeezing of the whole body and escaping high-pressure hydraulic fluid.
• Weartightfittingclothingandpersonalprotectiveequipmentsuchassafetygoggles,gloves,safetyshoesandahard hat.
• Theassemblyworkhastobecarriedoutinexactlythesamesequenceasdescribedintheseinstructions.
• Donotweld,cut,grindordrilltheframe,axleorothersupportingpartsunlessparticularlyspecified.
• Themountingoftheadd-onequipmentchangestheoverallweightofthemachineand,dependingontheequipment,may change the outer dimensions. Be aware of the outer dimensions when driving on public roads. Place a sufficient ballastloadonthetractor.Atleast20%oftheoverallweighthastorestonthefrontaxle.
• Makesurethatnobodystaysbetweenthetractorandthemachineduringassemblyorcoupling.Whenthepointofcouplingisinvisiblefromtheplaceofthedriver,makesurethatareversingassistantisavailable.Doonlystaybetween the tractor and the machine when both units do not move anymore and have been secured against rolling away.
• Makesurethatthesupportlegsaresettothecorrectheightandaresecuredasprescribed.
• Donotstayinwayofhigh-pressurehydraulicfluidthatmayescape.
Qualification• Theseassemblyinstructionsareintendedforqualifiedexpertpersonnelonly.
Intended use• Theintendeduseisdescribedintheoperatinginstructionsofthemachine.Theinstallationofadd-onequipment
will not change the intended use of the machine.
Before starting assembly• Placethemachineonafirmground.Killthetractorengine.Applythehandbrake.Pulltheignitionkeyandputthe
key away.
• Makesurethatallmovingpartsdonotmoveanymore(rotatingpartsmaycoastforawhile).Makesurethatneitherthe tractor nor the machine can roll away.
• Securetheworkingareainsuchawaythatotherpersonsdonotpresentadangerorareendangered.
• Observethelocalaccidentpreventionregulations.
• Observethewarningsigns(pictograms)onthemachine,eveniftheyarenotreferredtointheassemblyinstructions.

Thisworksstandardappliestoallmetricboltsforwhichnoparticulartighteningtorquehasbeenspecifiedinthedrawing/assembly instructions. The property class is shown on the bolt head.
• ThespecifiedvaluesarenominalvaluesandapplytoafrictioncoefficientoftheheadofIJ=0.14andathreadfrictionvalueofJJ=0.125.Insignificantdeviationsofthetensionforceduetodifferentfrictioncoefficientsmayoccur. The specified values have to be observed within a tolerance of +10%.
• Basedonthespecifiedtighteningtorquesandfrictioncoefficients,theboltmaterialwillbeloadedwithupto90%of the minimum yield limit according to DIN ISO 898.
• Intheeventofaspecialtighteningtorquehavingbeenspecified,allscrewedconnectionswillhavetobetightenedtothespecifiedtighteningtorqueusingatorquewrench.
• TheworksstandardwillbeinforceasofMay1,1995.

• Check all fitted screw fittings and plug connections that they are in proper condition and seated firmly.
• Grease all greasing points for the first time as per maintenance instructions (see operator's manual) and check theoillevelsofexistingdrives,toppingupifnecessary.Forsuitablelubricantsseelubricanttableinthemaintenanceinstructions,intheoperator'smanual.
• Checkthatsafetyequipmentiscompleteandfunctioning.
• Attach machine to a suitable tractor (see operator's manual chapter "Attachment") and check all electrical equipment/fittingsforproperfunction.
• Beforeinitiallyoperatingthemachine,readthroughtheoperator'smanualcarefullyandobservethesafetyadvice included without fail!

Safety chains at cardan shaft (if available) may not wind around the cardan shaft during operation!
Shorten safety chains correspondingly allowing for the swivel range of the cardan shaft.
