Reading● Rhyming Bubbles Game: Have an adult call out a starting word right

as they blow a batch of bubbles. Your challenge is to say words that rhyme with the starting word as you pop the bubbles. How many bubbles did you pop? Keep a running tally and share it on Seesaw. Don’t

● Read a book to your dad or other family member

● Listen to The Night Before Father's Day

● Play Sight Word Jenga! Write a sight word on a block and then playthe normal Jenga rules. A player removes a block from the tower and places it on top. The student who removes the block successfully usesthe sight word in a sentence before the next player takes their turn. You can also play by havingplayers read and spell the words while moving their blocks.

Writing

● Write your last name. Then, come up with one word that starts with the each letter in your last name.

● Watch this video about butterflies, then design your own butterfly and write to tell about it!

● Write to tell about a fun day you spent with your dad. Explain what you did with your dad and why it was such a special day.

● Draw a picture of your dad or a family member dressed up in a disguise.Then write to tell why he or she is disguised as!

Math● Use a deck of cards to create patterns. Examples could include:

red-red-black, red-red-black; 4-5-6, 4-5-6; heart-diamond-diamond-clover.Try growing and shrinking patterns too: 9-8-7-6; 3-4-5-6. ○ Don’t have a deck of cards? Here is a virtual

deck of cards and here is a printable deck of cards!

● Draw a tie your dad or grandfather would wear. Make a funABBC pattern on the tie using shapes, strips, or colors!

● Make an ABC pattern out of objects you find in your bedroom. Make an ABB pattern out of objects you find in the kitchen. Make an ABAC pattern out of objects you find outside. (Don’t forget to put back all the objects you used when you’re finished!)

● Sort your toys!! Which ones have wheels, which ones have feet, whichones have neither?

Science and Social Studies

● Grab a magnet from your fridge and find a small magnetic object in your house (hint: paperclips work great for this experiment!). On a piece of paper, draw a maze with lotsof twists and turns. Move the magnet underneath your paper to push and pull your magnetic object through themaze! Can you reach the end of the maze while staying in the lines?

● Are magnets still attracted to each otherif they are under water? Investigate! Puta magnet and other magnetic objects into a cup or tub of water. Use a magnet on the outside of the cup/tub to test if the objects inside are still attracted to the magnet!

● Draw a picture of a “super citizen!” Next to your picture write the things that make your super citizen “super!”

● Interview a family member (video if possible). Ask about their likes and dislikes to get to know them better.

● Watch the Never Give Up read aloud!

Mind and Body

● Carefully draw a picture on a piece of paper. Then cut it intopieces to make a puzzle. See if someone in your family can putit back together again.

● Write about a time when you had to wait for something. Howdid you feel?

● Reflect: what is something you did for another person today without being asked? If you haven’t done anything yet, what could you do for someone in your family before the day is over?

● Play a game like cards or Simon Says with someone in your house.

● Make your dad or a special person in your life a Monster Hug!

Wow, it’s almost the end of the school year! Where has the time gone? We will be counting down to the last day of school with an ABC Countdown! Each day for the rest of the year, we will pose an activity that deals with a letter from the alphabet. When we reach the letter Z, it

will be the last day of Kindergarten!

● Monday, 5/18 - S: Sunglasses day. Wear your sunglasses all day! If you don’t have any sunglasses, click here for a template to make your own!

● Tuesday, 5/19 - T: Team day. Wear your favorite team shirt or colors. Don’t have a sports team shirt? Wear blue and yellow for team Rockhill! Also, go to Seesaw for the Tomorrow’s Alphabet activity!

● Wednesday, 5/20 - U: USA day. Wear something red, white, and blue.

● Thursday, 5/21 - V: Video day. Take a video of yourself showing your favorite place/toy/thing/etc.
