In the existing Transaction MB5T, you could display the stocks in transit only as totals without reference to a key date.

Solution

This new Transaction MB5TD and the corresponding RM07MTBR_DATE report have been implemented in the standard system in Release 7.0. You can also use this function in a lower release. To implement the function, carry out the following steps manually:

Create the RM07MTRB_DATE report

Copy the RM07MTRB source program the RM07MTRB_DATE target program. Select the objects "Documentation", "Interface" and "Screens". Save the new report with the MB development class.

Change the report title

Overwrite the existing title of the RM07MTRB_DATE report with the following text: Display stock in transit on key date

Extend the existing documentation of the RM07MTRB_DATE report. Enter the following texts in the corresponding sections.

Section "Use": The calculated stocks in transit are the totals of the quantities from the purchase order history records, with a posting date that is smaller or the same as the key date.

The values are calculated using the net value of the purchase order items. Since there can also be stock transport orders without net value, the system may not display any values.

Section "Prerequisites": In addition, you must be authorized to display the purchase order data of the purchasing organization (authorization object M_BEST_EKO, action 03).

Section "Features": The report provides three different types of list output. You can select one of them in the section "Output option". You can use and manage layouts for each list output.

1. Totals list This list contains the compressed data at level material, plant and special stock indicator.

In this list output, you can do the following: - Select a line and double-click: The detail data of the selected material master is displayed in the hierarchical list

- Select a line and choose the "Stock overview" symbol: Transaction MMBE is called for the selected material.

2. Hierarchical list This list contains the detailed data. The header lines contain the data of the material masters, and the item data contains the data of the assigned transport orders.

In the list output, you can carry out the actions "Display Purchase Order", "Display Purchase Order History", "Stock overview" and "Detail list".

3. Non-hierarchical list This list contains the detailed data of the material master and the transport order in one line. You can use it to download the list output.

In the list output, you can carry out the actions "Display Purchase Order", "Display Purchase Order History" and "Stock overview".

The report memorizes the parameters set by the user with each run. The system then proposes the same parameters during the next run.

In Customizing for Inventory Management -> Reporting -> Set Up Print Functions for Reporting (Customizing view V_MMIM_REP_PRINT), you can define the following settings for the RM07MTRB_DATE report:

- You can display the non-hierarchical lists as 'ALV Classic' (default) or as 'ALV Grid' - You can color the stocks and values depending on their +/- signs (default = colored )

Releases 4.70 to 6.0

The source code of the new RM07MTRB_DATE report for higher releases differs from the source code for Release 4.6 C. New functions for the cross-company code stock transport orders have been added.

For these releases, the source code is contained in the packed "RM07MTRB_DATE_470_600.zip" text file in the attachment of this note. Replace the source code of the RM07MTRB_DATE report with the source code from this text file.
