Experience ‘Disney on Broadway’ the Visions way! With behind-the-scenes masterclasses during the day, to seeing the magic on the live stage at night, our ‘Disney on Broadway’ tour will bring that magic to life in the Big Apple itself, New York City. This 5-day / 4-night tour is available year round and offers a fully immersive performing arts experience that no student will soon forget.
Day 1 Dinner; dependent upon arrival time
After transferring to Newark, New Jersey, we’ll settle into our hotel rooms, have our Visions Welcome & Safety Meeting, and enjoy dinner locally to celebrate arriving in the Big Apple!
The Hilton Newark Penn Station (or similar) – Located in
downtown Newark, NJ, the Hilton Newark Penn Station hotel offers
easy access to the city’s business district and is only 15 minutes
from Manhattan via excellent public transport links. Stay
connected during your stay with the Wi-Fi access and a
complimentary business center. After a busy day, relax in your
spacious guest room with a show on the flat screen TV, your
complimentary daily newspaper and a favorite song playing on the Mp3 compatible alarm clock.
Day 2 Breakfast & Dinner
Today is all about Aladdin! After breakfast today, we will go behind the scenes of Aladdin in the Master Class of your choosing.
Dance & Music: Arabian Nights - Your wishes come true as you learn the iconic music and inventive choreography to Broadway's newest hit musical. Disney Teaching Artists will lead you on a magical journey from a Broadway rehearsal studio to the wondrous world of Agrabah. Drama: A Whole New World - Hop on a flying carpet and explore the magical world of Aladdin! Disney Teaching Artists will help you develop your own version of the memorable cast of characters in Aladdin. From the charismatic Genie, to the plotting Jafar, to the ambitious Jasmine, you'll explore what it takes to bring these beloved characters to life on stage.
In the afternoon we will have some free time for exploration, or you may opt to add-on additional activities. The choice is yours and we are here to meet your needs! After dinner this evening, we’ll head out to see the live action of Aladdin on the big stage at New York’s New Amsterdam theatre! Day 3 Breakfast & Dinner
After breakfast, today will be all about The Lion King! This morning we will get a glimpse of all that goes into making this ‘larger than life’ performance come to life in the Master Class(es) of your choosing. Dance & Music: The Rhythm of the Pride lands - Untame your imagination and perform material from Disney's The Lion King! Disney Teaching Artists will transport you from a Broadway studio to the African savannah. Explore one-of-a-kind choreography and world music from the hit Broadway show, The Lion King. Drama: I Just Can’t Wait to be King! - Explore the journey of Simba, the lion cub who escapes to the worry-free jungle to avoid problems in the Pride lands. In this engaging workshop, you will use scenes from the Broadway script from The Lion King to develop your own take on characters who challenge Simba's point of view: Timon, Pumbaa, Nala, and a few hysterical hyenas!
In the afternoon, if elected, we’ll explore the New Amsterdam theatre where Disney is brought to life on stage!
Theatre Tour- Located in the heart of Broadway, The New Amsterdam Behind-the-Magic Tour is an amazing experience for guests of all ages. Your group will discover the beautifully restored art and architecture of this landmark Broadway theatre built in 1903, once home to the legendary Ziegfeld Follies. Then your group will explore the history and magic of Disney Theatrical Productions in the prop studio by getting up-close and personal with original props, costumes, and set pieces that bring the world of Disney Theatrical to life on stage.
In the evening, you’ll get to experience the magic yourself in the Broadway production of The Lion King! Day 4 Breakfast & Dinner
After breakfast, the day is ours to explore. With your private motor coach, the city is ours to do as we please! Feel free to explore our add-ons for other fun activities to experience during your time with us. Day 5 Breakfast
Today we’ll enjoy breakfast before we formally check-out of our hotel for our return journey home. Depending on travel times, we may have some free time before we depart for the airport to return home with memories that will last a lifetime!
