Last

Sunday,

an annual Sports Day was

organised

by SK Seri Maju.

It was held in theirspacious school field.

Many tents were set up there for the guests of

honour, parents, teachers

and pupils.

The tents were alsodecorated

with balloons, buntings andhouse flags.

On that

day,

there was a crowd of spectators.

Before the

events,

the house representatives did their warm-up exercises.

Many pupils took part in the events.

There were many events such as 100

metre race, 200 metre race

and 4 x 100 metre race.

Everybody was excited and nervous.

When the starter shot the pistol,

all the racers ran very fast to the finishing line.

One of them was Ahmad.

He was the sprinter.

In the

competition,

he ran like the wind

and he left the other racers far behind.

He managed to win the race.

During theprize-giving

ceremony,

the headmaster gave the medals and trophies tothe winners.

All the winners were very happy.

Ahmad was chosen as the best athlete of the

year.

He felt so grateful and thankful

because he was chosen to

represent

his school in the district

competition.Ahmads parents,

teachers and friends

were very proud of him.

As for

Ahmad,

it was a memorable day in his life.
