organised tours and conducted tastings. Award-winning wines range

excellent food that is served in any one of Franschhoek’s more than

40 restaurants. Franschhoek is known as the Wine & Gourmet Capital

of South Africa and has among its truly talented chefs several who

have been awarded the highest national and international culinary

Driving Directions from Cape Town:

• Take the N1 to Paarl

• Take EXIT 47, the Klapmuts exit, from the highway then turn right onto the R44

•

• Turn left onto the Klapmuts – Simondium road

• Travel until you meet a T-junction at Vrede and Lust wine estate

• Turn right onto the R45 towards Franschhoek

• Continue on the R45 until arriving in Franschhoek Village

• Smoking is strictly prohibited except at clearly designated outdoor areas
