A COMPREHENSIVE VIEWThe full program involves pre-evaluation and several days of an intense on-site exploration and review involving key personnel – Seco team members and customer employees. At the conclusion, a detailed report sums up areas of focus and provides a road map to greater efficiency. The unique offering is also available in four individual packages.

TOOL WEAR ANALYSISThis focuses on tooling cost, machine process stability and workpiece quality. The minimum sample size is set to 200 inserts or solid carbide tools. A statistical analysis compares results to industry norms in order to find improvement potential, to decrease consumption of inserts, and increase machining stability and part quality.

TOOL FLOW MANAGEMENTThis examines the life of tools in the shop. This tool life cycle review covers all tooling issues from selection to recycle to identify cost, location and tool shortages that can all lead to delays in production.

LEAD TIMEOur team of experts maps production processes, constraints and flows to analyze KPIs to determine how they are set, followed-up and how they cascade down to the whole organization. They will also assess the maturity of the production from an operational excellence perspective, ultimately providing a pathway to faster and more efficient production.

DELIVERY PRECISIONThis solution analyzes production processes and flows, as well as planning and scheduling to determine why lead times are unpredictable and delivery promises are not being kept. WIP mapping, planning and scheduling analysis and priority order management methods are all used to identify and help resolve problems.
