Greater Philadelphia is home to more colleges and universities thanalmost any other place in the United States. ese schools providesome of the most highly ranked undergraduate and graduate programsfor international students in the world. e best way to learn aboutthese programs is by seeing the campuses, meeting fellow internationalstudents and hearing first hand about programs of study.

e Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) andCampus Philly offer international students the chance to experience lifeat our colleges and universities through tours of campuses in the cityand suburbs. From the world-renowned University of Pennsylvania tobeautiful colleges on Philadelphia’s Main Line, students will receiveguided tours of campus, meet with admissions officers and be able totalk with current students. College and university tours includelibraries, science and sport facilities, dormitories and many othercampus features and buildings. Students will have the opportunity toask about the admissions process and requirements at each school andreceive advice about the best chances for college acceptance.

And, because Philadelphia is really one big campus, visiting studentswill experience the culture, international flare and beauty of the city asa whole. Each day, after campus visits, your tour will include visits tomuseums, restaurants and historic sites in Greater Philadelphia.

To make the most of the visit, three to five campus tours and an equalnumber of museum and cultural experiences will be built into thisitinerary lasting three days/four nights to five days/six nights.

PROGRAMSUniversity & College Tours.

Student Summer Camps.Greater Philadelphia’s colleges and universities provide a variety ofsummer experiences for international students. From Englishlanguage programs on campus to sports and academic courses,many colleges and universities provide high school and currentcollege students from abroad with the opportunity to experiencelife first-hand on a U.S. college campus.

In addition to meeting faculty, experiencing college life andlearning more about the U.S. through Philadelphia’s extraordinaryhistorical and cultural attractions, students participating in thesesummer programs will have the opportunity to become familiarwith college and university admissions for undergraduate andgraduate programs at their host university.

Summer camp experiences vary in length, focus area and locationin the Greater Philadelphia region. e PHLCVB and CampusPhilly can create an experience that suits a wide variety of tastesand interests, from those who want to come to campus to improvetheir English through ESL courses to students looking for athleticor enrichment experiences during the summer. ese summercamp experiences will enrich students academically and culturally,providing strong connections to host colleges and universities, toother international students and to Philadelphia’s rich historicaland cultural offerings.

Certificate & Executive Programs.Greater Philadelphia is home to some of the most prominent training,education and certification programs for professionals. Renowned forits science and health programs, Philadelphia institutions have traineda quarter of all physicians in the United States.

In addition, Philadelphia is home to the Wharton School of Businessat the University of Pennsylvania, which offers the longest runningcustom executive education program in the country, serving morethan 10,000 executives each year. Wharton’s Executive Educationprograms offer customized experiences for executives in a widevariety of business areas and include on-campus housing, translatedinstruction, and some of the best faculty in the world.

Certificate programs in other fields are available at a number ofregional universities in a wide variety of fields, including healthcare,science and technology, liberal arts and business. Working throughthe PHLCVB and Campus Philly, you can create an educationalexperience in Philadelphia for international professionals interested inupdating their skills, expanding their networks and experiencing thehighest quality instruction.
