Founded in the mid-1970s by Ed Headrick in Los Angeles [along with the Disc Golf Association c.1976]

Currently an international professional sport with over 3000 formal courses in the United States alone!

Available and accessible to players (from professional to amateur) of all ages, abilities, and demographics

How to play

Players use specialized throwing discs

• Driving off from initial “tee boxes” in an attempt to throw the disc into baskets [see below] in as few throws as possible
