PROTECTION OF YOUR MOST IMPORTANT ASSETIt’s a fact: Half of all companies that experienced a
disaster-related data loss for 10 or more
days led bankruptcy immediately. 93% of such companies led for bankruptcy within
one year of the disaster. Despite these
sobering numbers, 56% of organizations in North America still
don’t have a tested disaster recovery plan.
Disaster can take many forms: re, ood, tornado, sabotage, hacking—even simple human error can be disastrous. For organizations of any kind, one of the most vulnerable assets in the event of a disaster is their data.
Regardless of the circumstances, a catastrophic loss of business-critical data can permanently destroy an organization’s ability to operate. Even a temporary data disruption can have a major impact on its chances for survival. Most physical property can be replaced; data cannot be so easily recovered unless the organization has made investments in a disaster recovery or backup plan.
The experts at Green Cloud Technologies are your safety net in such an event. Our products are Cisco Powered and built on validated Cisco architecture, and, with industry-leading technology partners such as Zerto and StorageCraft, your data is readily available when you need it.

3 2 1
THE 3-2-1 RULE FOR BACKUP AND REPLICATIONTo prevent data loss in any scenario, you should have:
Find out how Green Cloud’s disaster recovery solutions and backup solution can put a 3-2- 1 data replication plan into action for you.
Three copies of your data: one production copy and two
backups
One backup located osite
Two dierent forms of storage media (e.g., tape,
NAS, or osite)
When choosing your business continuity solution, it’s important to understand the dierences in the data recovery and replication options available.
A snapshot is a point-in-time 'picture' of the state of a virtual machine’s disk(s) at the instant the snapshot is taken. Individual les cannot be retrieved from a snapshot. The entire disk must be mounted and made available. Snapshots are ideal for recovery to the last virtual machine conguration in case of failure.
Replication is the practice of copying data from one location to another to maintain a mirrored version of the machine on separate media. Replication is ideal for machines and applications that have very high availability requirements but low retention needs.
BACKUPA backup is a full copy of the virtual machine's data and applications, taken while the VM is in a prepared state and is usually saved to separate media (i.e. to a dierent SAN or a redundant data center). Backups are typically configured to consolidate the files periodically. For example, daily backups might be consolidated into weekly, monthly and yearly versions. Backups are ideal for retrieval of histori-cal data and files in case of audit or data loss; and while possible, backups are not intended for full virtual machine recovery.

Traditional backup solutions lack the exibility and eciency of virtualization, requiring time-consuming manual backup and restoration or complex server failover congurations. Such solutions can take days to implement—time you don’t have to spare if you hope to survive. ServeRestore, our cloud disaster recovery solution for on-premise physical servers, is a “better than backup” solution. Our engineers implement a fully-congured cloud environment for your data so that when disaster strikes, we can manage the complete recovery of your servers and congure them to run in mere hours, not days. Upon recovery and restoration, you can continue to operate from our virtual environment for up to two weeks. Then, you can decide to either stay in the cloud, or purchase replacement hardware and rebuild your on-premise environment. The choice is yours.
While traditional backup can take days to recover your data, ServeRestore can fully recover your backed-up data in a virtual environment in just a few hours. Take a look at your recovery time objective
(RTO) and choose an option that best suits your needs.
Up to (5) Servers can be recovered in as little as 4 hours. Each additional (5) servers adds 1 hour to recovery time.

ExpressRestore
ExpressRestore—our disaster recovery solution for virtualized environments—is powered by Zerto, the industry’s most comprehensive hypervisor-based data replication solution for VMware vSphere. It oers a faster recovery and RTO with production-class replication targets for SSD, SAS, or SATA per virtual machine. A Zerto interface allows you to initiate recovery directly into Green Cloud’s hosted VMware environment. With easy point- and-click technology, you can select any VM to replicate and boot up in our data center. At any time, you can perform failover testing using the self-service portal at no additional cost. In addition, our engineering team ensures all networking is preset to your specications. This pre-congured direct connection enables simple management and fast recovery in as little as 15 minutes.

Use your cloud repository like a local backup repository utilizing any backup strategy you deploy. Simply open the Veeam backup console and make your cloud repository a target for any backup copy job. No additional download or Veeam licensing is required.
With available WAN Acceleration, it leverages forever-incremental backups, in cloud synthetic fulls, and more to minimize data transfer while maximizing restore points. Get your backups o site quickly and easily without adding bandwidth.
Rest easy by encrypting your backup at source, in ight and at rest, without negatively impacting data transfer to the cloud (thanks to content-aware compression and WAN Acceleration). Cloud Connect ensures that your data is as safe and condential as it would be in your own dedicated osite repository.
Veeam Cloud Connect Backup
Whether you are installing a primary backup solution or complementing an existing one with anadditional target or repository, Green Cloud’s backup solution powered by Veeam provides a remote, secure, cloud-based storage destination for existing server infrastructures.

CLOUD CONNECT IS:
RECOVERYWith Cloud Connect, your data is always available. With available bandwidth, you can choose to recover your data “over the wire” or you can opt to have physical encrypted media shipped directly to you.
