Today, many healthcare organizations are focused on

communication among caregivers of all types. Studies

show that improving communication and teamwork

among caregivers can improve their job satisfaction and

patients’ quality of care.

Additional research finds that a facility’s design can

directly impact teamwork. Since communication

among caregivers is fast-paced and often conducted

while doing tasks such as working at a computer, open,

inviting, team oriented spaces are shown to help facilitate

collaboration. A recent study shows that work environments

designed to support group work, communication and

mentoring can help reduce work related stress for nurses,

and that a centralized information and communication

area is an essential factor.

Our favorite is the sliding door. It’s quiet, doesn’t need a floor track, quick to install, smooth and easy to operate, offers

amazing acoustics, is non-handed, plus it saves square feet like there’s no tomorrow. Our sliding doors can be solid,

framed glass, frameless glass and double. But we know there is a place in the world for other kinds of doors, so we also

have very nice pivot and butt hinge doors.

It is the little things make our Sliding Doors such a great choice. Acoustic seals, ADA compliant pulls, discreet little feet to

hold the door firm to the wall, the ability to put it inside or outside the room and flip it around if that room gets reconfigured.

Our Pivot Doors also come in framed or frameless glass, solid and double, they also are available with automatic

closers. Plus we developed a daring Center Pivot Door that is simply clean, elegant fun.

The workhorse Butt Hinge door can be sourced locally and we will simply supply the hardware. Lock hardware and/or

signage options are available for each door type.

factory where your Walls are precisely manufactured

your culture. Using DIRTT’s intelligent, 3D software called

ICE®, you experience your space in real-time, interactive

3D and modify it to create the exact space you want.

Every change you make is automatically updated in the

quote, specification and production information.

As it always does, technology will change. DIRTT

Walls are impervious to change. Universal mounting

abilities – inside and outside the Walls – mean whatever

comes next will fit without demolition and rebuilding with all

the attendant noise, material disposal and energy waste.

DIRTT Walls do not predict the future. They just go with it.

T E C H N O L O G Y A P P L I C A T I O N S

Build as Drawn is a term used to describe the finished

work of the installation crew. All price quotations were

based on the number of hours to build and layout the

furniture as shown on the installation drawing.

Change Orders are required to do any work not in

the original scope of the installation quotation. This

could be additional work not part of the original work order

or a request to change the build as drawn specification

to some other variation. Generally, all changes to the

scope of work are billable at the time and materials

rate. Completion of change order work is based on crew

availability and may require rescheduling.

Power and Data work is not completed by furniture

installation personnel. This is due to code restrictions

and the need for certifiable data connections. It is

the customer’s responsibility to order this work from

independent contractors.
