• Sir Alfred Hitchcock was born on the13th August 1899, in Leytonstone, London, England His career in film spanned over 50 years and he is easily one of Britain's most famous director and arguably one of the best of all time.

• He is most famous for Pioneering many different techniques in suspense and psychological thrillers and earned himself the title: master of suspense

• He pioneered the use of a camera made to move in a way that mimics a person's gaze, forcing viewers to engage in a form of voyeurism. framed shots to maximise anxiety, fear, or empathy, and used innovative film editing.

• His stories frequently feature fugitives on the run from the law alongside "icy blonde" female characters. Many of Hitchcock's films have twist endings and thrilling plots featuring depictions of violence, murder, and crime.

• Christopher Jonathan James Nolan born 30 July 1970) is a British-American film director, screenwriter, and producer.

• Known for his unconventional and often highly conceptual narratives, Nolan received serious notice with his art-house crossover Memento , which garnered significant critical praise and numerous awards, including a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the 74th Academy Awards.

• After the success of The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. contracted Nolan to a seven-figure deal to direct Inception . Nolan directed, wrote and co-produced the film which was described as "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind". The film was released on 16 July 2010 to largely positive reviews and grossed over $800 million worldwide.

• Born on March 27, 1963, Quentin Tarantino loved movies more than school. In his early 20s, he got a job at the Video Archives, where he wrote the scripts for True Romance and Natural Born Killers. His directorial debut came with 1992's Reservoir Dogs, but he received wide critical and commercial acclaim with Pulp Fiction (1994), which earned more than $108 million at the box office—the first independent film to do so. In 2003 and 2004 Quentin released his Kill Bill series, which led to a Golden Globe nomination for Uma Thurman, who starred in the films. Tarantino was later nominated for two Academy Awards (best director and best original screenplay) for the film Inglorious Basterds (2009).

• James Francis Cameron (born August 16, 1954) is a Canadian film director, film producer, deep-sea explorer, screenwriter, visual artist and editor. His writing and directing work includes The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies (1994), Titanic (1997), Dark Angel (2000–02), and Avatar (2009). In the time between making Titanic and Avatar, Cameron spent several years creating many documentary films (specifically underwater documentaries) and co-developed the digital 3D Fusion Camera System.

• He has been nominated for six Academy Awards overall and won three for Titanic. In total, Cameron's directorial efforts have grossed approximately US$2 billion in North America and US$6 billion worldwide. Not adjusted for inflation, Cameron's Titanic and Avatar are the two highest-grossing films of all time at $2.18 billion and $2.78 billion respectively. In March 2011 he was named Hollywood's top earner by Vanity Fair, with estimated 2010 earnings of $257 million.
