Dear Director,

We, the residents of Street 2, Al Ghazi Villas, Sec 1A-4, Manghopeer Road, North Karachi would like to highlight a Major power issue in our area. Few days ago, K-Electric replaced Aluminum Alloy and Copper three phased Wire in our street by PVC coated Aluminum Alloy wires and they took the old wires with them. PVC wires were working fine till this rainy season started and due to constant high humidification and load on the wires, there have been several incidents of short circuit in those wires, which has resulted in them being worn out and burnt in several portions. From time to time, all three wires inside PVC gets stuck together due to overheating and thermal expansion, creating short circuit and dangerous sparks at the point of resident meter supply contact. K-Electric have repaired the wires several times, but issue still persists. 2 days ago, a big portion of the wire caught fire and was about to fall on the gate of one of the residents before locals detached it.

Due to mentioned reasons, we would like to request you to replace these coated wires with the old copper or Aluminum wires as they were working fine and the current wires are not suited for our area. We'll be really thankful to you if you could resolve our issue swiftly.
