Position Summary

The Primary Responsibility of this Position is to successfully develop and lead

also plays host to a fusion of events, activities, workshops and tours. The

Position is therefore also responsible and accountable for tourism promotion,

the Visitor Information Centre, Regional Art Gallery and Library, Youth and

Aged Care services as well as organising and hosting community focused

events. Extensive interaction is required with community special interest

voluntary groups.

The Position incumbent will have a vision and passion for delivering great

outcomes, innovation, and an ability to influence others.

specific reference to nominated Portfolio Councillors.

Skill Prerequisites - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

1) Essential

a) Graduate Degree in field/s related to Community development and/or relevant extensive experience;

b) Demonstrated qualifications and/or experience in administration and management of a high-

performing multi-faceted Community operations and services;

c) Demonstrated excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing

priorities;

d) Current Queensland ‘C’ Class licence or equivalent.

2) Desirable

a) Experience in Local Government.
