DİPLOMA EKİNEDİR?

Yükseköğretim kurumları tarafından diplomanın yanı sıra verilen tamamlayıcı ve açıklayıcı bir belgedir.

Sadece verildiği ülkede ne anlama geldiği bilinen diplomanın başka ülkeler tarafından da anlaşılmasına yardımcı olur.

Her öğrenciye mezuniyetini takiben diploma ile birlikte çok konuşulan bir Avrupa dilinde ücretsiz olarak verilir.

Kurumsal not çizelgesi (Transcript) ve diploma yerine geçer bir belge değildir.

Kurumsal tanınma garantisi sağlayan otomatik bir sistem değildir.

BİLGİ NOTU

Her Diploma Eki aşağıda verilen bilgi notu ile başlar: Diploma Eki Avrupa Komisyonu, Avrupa Konseyi ve

UNESCO/CEPES tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Diploma Ekinin amacı uluslararası şeffaflık ve akademik/ mesleki tanınırlık sağlamaktır.

Diploma alan kişi hakkındaki bilgilerin yanı sıra alınan derecenin ne olduğu, derecenin düzeyi, derecenin kullanım alanı, tamamlanan programın içeriği bilgilerine ekte yer verilir. Diploma ekinde değer yargılarına, eşdeğerlik açıklamalarına ve tanınırlıkla ilgili görüşlere yer verilmez. Doldurulmayan kısımlar varsa nedeni açıklanmalıdır.

ÖĞRENCİLERE KATKISI

Yurtdışında kolaylıkla anlaşılabilir bir formatta ve diğer yükseköğretim kurumları programları ile karşılaştırılabilir ek belge.

DİPLOMA EKİ İÇERİĞİ

Diploma Eki sekiz kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Diploma Eki’nin içeriği aşağıdaki tabloda belirtilmiştir. Diploma Eki İngilizce dilinde hazırlanabilir. Ancak, bazı bölümlerinin mutlaka Türkçe yazılması gerekmektedir. Her bölümün doldurulması zorunludur.

Öğrencinin aldığı derslerde başarı durumunu gösteren DE içindeki 4.3 numaralı bölüme ECTS kredilerini gösteren sütun eklenmelidir.

Grading Scheme

For each course taken, the student is given one of the following grades by the course teacher. The letter grades, coefficients and percentage equivalents are given below:

Other Grades: I: Incomplete, S: Satisfactory Completion, P: Satisfactory Progress, U: Unsatisfactory, EX: Exempt, NI: Not Included, W: Withdrawn, NA: Not Attendance A grade of (I) is given to a student who provides supporting evidence through genuine and valid documentation of illness or other reason which has prevented her/him from completing the necessary course work. In such a case, within 15 days from the day of submitting the grades to Registrar's Office, the student must complete the missing work and obtain a grade. Otherwise, the (I) grade will automatically become an (FF). The grade (S) is given to the students who are successful in non-credit courses, and (U) to those who are unsuccessful in such courses. (S) can also be given to the courses accepted as equivalents in transfers from other universities. The grade (P) is given to students who are successfully taking non-credit courses. The grade (EX) is given to students who are found successful in the examination for exemption conducted by the department concerned for courses determined by the University Senate. The (EX) grade is not included in computing grand point average (GPA) but is shown on the transcript. The grade (NI) is given if courses within the program or programs in which a student is registered are taken on the "condition that they are not included in the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)". The grade (NA) is issued if a student does not fulfill the attendance and/or application requirements of the course. The grade (NA) is included in the CGPA as (FF). The grade (W) is issued if a student withdraws from a course after the add/drop period within the first 10 weeks after the semester starts, under the recommendation of her/his advisor and the permission of the instructor concerned. Grade Point Averages: The student's standing is calculated in the form of a GPA and CGPA, and announced at the end of each semester by the Registrar's Office. The total credit points for a course are obtained by multiplying the coefficient of the final grade by the credit hours. In order to obtain the GPA for any given semester, the total credit points earned in that semester is divided by the total credit hours. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses taken by a student from the beginning of entrance to the University which are recognized as valid by the Department in which she/he is registered. Conditions for award of Bachelor's Diploma: Students must have a CGPA of not less than 2.00 and have successfully completed all the courses in the program in order to graduate. Students whose CGPA is between 3,00 and 3,49 are listed as Honour (Şeref) graduates and the students whose CGPA is between 3,50 and 4,00 are listed as High Honour (Yüksek Şeref) graduates. Honour and High Honour standings are specified on the degree certificate. Conditions for award of Master's Diploma: Master's with Thesis: Students must complete the minimum required course load specified by the Department in at least four
