INTRODUCTION

In this calendar of prayer, you will find the names of parishes and clergy(in bold print ) following the date and Sunday of the year.On the second line ( in italics ) we pray for a particular aspect of the lifeand witness of the Dioceses and the wider family of the Church.On the third line (in lower case) you will find the names of the PorvooChurches, and on the last line (in BLOCK CAPITALS) you will find theAnglican Cycle of Prayer.

In view of the successful outcome of the Church of Ireland and MethodistChurch in Ireland Covenant and other ecumenical endeavours, we shouldalso pray for our brothers and sisters in the wider family of the Church.

As prayer is so essential and central in our hopes, plans and endeavours,it is encouraging to know that the yearly Cycle of Prayer is usedextensively throughout our Dioceses.

Please continue to use this prayer cycle as we grow in our relationshipwith God, with one another and in the life our faith community.

It is recommended that one copy of this booklet be left on the PrayerDesk of every church throughout the Dioceses of Meath and Kildare.
