Reklamationsmanagement – kurze Einführung in den 8D-Prozess
Customer complaint handling is an extremely critical process, which calls for a structured and transparent approach. This is
where SupplyOn Problem Solver can help. The solution is based on the 8D process, which has established itself as a
structured procedure to resolve and prevent faults and errors. Problems can be eliminated efficiently and sustainably. You
prevent the recurrence of errors, lower quality costs and ensure greater customer satisfaction. The standardized 8D process
comprises eight complaint-handling steps that are documented in the 8D report:
1. Build a cross-functional team
2. Describe the problem description
3. Define containment actions, on order to quickly resolve the impacts of the problem
4. Find the root causes for the problem
5. Define possible permanent corrective actions in order to resolve the root cause
6. Implement permanent corrective actions (“implemented corrective actions”)
7. Define preventive actions in order to avoid recurrence of the problem
8. Close the 8D report after all actions have been implemented and their effectiveness confirmed
