It is essential that the National Trust has a strong marketing presence, including professional and appropriately toned advertisements. Enthusiastic & dedicated individuals are required to help them do this.

Location: Penrhyn Castle, Bangor, Gwynedd

National Trust manager: Learning & Communication Manager, Resi Tomat

Purpose of role: To assist with research, creation and design of various adverts for the property.

Key elements:• Working closely with departmental staff and volunteers (conservation, gardens, tea-room, shop, visitor

services, railway museum and learning department) to create and design adverts including leaflets, posters, banners etc

• Ensure that text follows the National Trust ‘tone of voice‘• Ensure that adverts are appropriately branded according to National Trust guidelines• Keep the property team informed of progress and test out with colleagues• Maintaining good working relationships with property staff and volunteers• Undertaking such other appropriate assistance, as may be reasonably requested by the line manager.• Working in compliance with the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy and any other policies identified as

being appropriate to this role.

Skills required:Excellent computer skills and experience with design software such as Photoshop and/or InDesign (although in house training on InDesign and Photoshop will be provided)

Training attached to role:Customer Care, Confidence Building, Working in a team, Communication

OnTrack NT online training:• Use of basic design software• Disability Wise awareness• Equality and diversity• Working with volunteers

This an ILM funded project delivered in partnership between CAIS Ltd and National Trust, eligibility criteria apply. Post is for 13 weeks, 35hrs a week, £NMW.
