FACTS ABOUT MODERN DAY SLAVERY• About 27 million people are currently enslaved around the world

• Slavery generates a profit of $13 billion each year

• 26% of slaves are under the age of 18

• 55% of slave victims are females

• There are slave victims who owe a debt as low as $18

• The U.S has 60,000 slave victims
