WHAT IS DIGCOMP? WHAT IS DIGCOMP? DIGCOMP 2.0 THE DIGITAL COMPETENCE FRAMEWORK FOR CITIZENS THE COMPETENCES Since Spain started adapting the university degrees to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the Spanish University Libraries Network (REBIUN) identified the need of integrating the digital competences in the study programs as a strategic objective, so that graduate students are digitally competent and therefore join the labour market and the lifelong learning easily. This is why REBIUN, together with CRUE-TIC (IT workgroup within the Spanish University Presidents Council), drew up a decalogue of information and computer skills that led in 2015 to the european initia- tive called DIGCOMP.
