For the back and front cover I took 2 strong images, the high angle shot is to give the artist power and show his significance within the music industry. The artist is looking away from the camera in both shots to show that he is thinking about the music and that the music that will feature on this disc isn’t for the audience, its actually just how frank ocean feels which he portrays in song. The artists name is the largest writing so that people will know that it is him and the recognition will mean that people are attracted and it will appeal to the target audience demographic. The album name is ‘fire place’ this was chosen because of the inspiration from his previous album which was ‘channel orange’ where the front cover was orange; however in my front cover the image is a fire place. I thought that this was a strong unusual name which would grip the audience and they would remember it.

This image is a strong image and will feature in the booklet. It is extremely unusual to have a white chair in the middle of the field which could show that the artist doesn’t stick to what's classed as ‘normal’ and defies conventions. However he is slumped and this is a sign of sadness and almost that he has given up which could mean he has given up trying to fit in seen with his recent actions by telling the public that he is gay. The background is rolling hills and open space which could symbolise his frame of mind and his songs will represent this.

In these two images the artist is looking directly at the camera meaning that he will connect with the audience and create empathy for himself. The writing is the same font and is all capitalised as on the front in the artist name however they are all different sizes, this could be to symbolise that no matter who you are and what size you are, you can always fit in because the track list is all aligned.

The disc image is the same as the image behind is so that the digipak as a whole doesn’t look to busy and complicated. Suggesting that you don’t need fancy things to make the album sell, it will sell because of the music and how it makes the audience feel and connects with them.

Unfortunately I couldn’t change ‘frank ocean’ to ‘jack ocean’ as I wasn’t told about this rule until I had finished and although I could change the magazine advert I couldn’t change the video or the digipak.
