Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) todayannounced that it has selected Ericsson toprovide 3G cellular connectivity for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. Digi is usingEricsson’s 3G HSPA modules to enable high-speed cellular connectivity across select Digi

Connect and Digi TransPort cellular gateways. Digi cellular gatewaysprovide primary and backup connectivity via high-speed 3G connectionsto remote sites and devices. They are ideal for remote deviceconnectivity within energy, transportation, financial/ATM, retail and otherM2M applications. Ericsson’s HSPA technology also enables a range ofnew, high-speed M2M applications, such as video surveillance, wherehigh-bandwidth and higher upload speeds are required.
