Digi is using Ericsson’s 3G HSPA modules to enable high- speed cellular connectivity across select Digi Connect and Digi TransPort cellular gateways. Digi cellular gateways provide primary and backup connectivity via high-speed 3G connections to remote sites and devices. They are ideal for remote device connectivity within energy, transportation, financial/ATM, retail and other M2M applications. Ericsson’s HSPA technology also enables a range of new, high-speed M2M applications, such as video surveillance, where high-bandwidth and higher upload speeds are required. “We are excited to work with Ericsson, a global leader in 3G mobile broadband network technology,” said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of global sales and marketing, Digi International. “The collaboration allows for rapid global adoption of Digi gateways with strategic carriers where Ericsson relationships already exist.
