10 Media Tank Management
MTM 32 Media Tank Management System fromSAMSOMATIC Automationssysteme GmbH (a subsidiary ofSAMSON AG) has been especially designed for use with Me-dia 6 devices as liquid level sensors.
– MTM 32 hardwareand
– MTM 98 softwareThe signals, which are proportional to the content, of the Me-dia 6 transmitter are transferred via phone lines from the tankfarm to the control center and analyzed there.

TROVIS-VIEW 6661 configuration softwareThe Media 6 Digital Transmitter can be operated over aPC/notebook computer using the TROVIS-VIEW Configurationand Operator Interface.
The operator interface contains all functions of Media 6, to-gether with the required information. The system can be config-ured and operated entirely over a PC/notebook.
Media 6 needs to be connected to the serial interface at COM 1to 225 of the PC/notebook with an appropriate connecting ca-ble.
The software for installation of the TROVIS-VIEW 6661 Config-uration and Operator Interface is available from SAMSON onCD-ROM (see ordering information in Table 11.1).
Connecting cable (PC/notebook computer <> Media 6)To enable communication between PC/notebook and Media 6,the serial interface (COM 1 to 225) of the PC/notebook needsto be connected to the serial interface of Media 6. The appro-priate connecting cable (see ordering information inTable 11.1) is available from SAMSON.
Memory penThe memory pen is a small, handy storage medium. Independ-ently of the PC/notebook, data (e.g. tank type and associatedgas data) can be saved on site and transmitted to Media 6 overthe RS-232 interface (see ordering information in Table 11.1).A connection between PC/notebook and Media 6 is not re-quired.
