Shooter became a possible movie title due mainly to the narrative, the whole plot centres around the young character Alex. A boy that is caught up into a corrupted lifestyle and finds himself caught with a fire arm, audiences are left on the edge of their seat to the unknowing if the trigger was pulled and on who?

The gun holds importance significance it symbolises the on going violence throughout the film but also in contemporary society, showing how dangerous life can become to those living on the outskirts. The gun also helps present an outlook to the character, shows that he is living a criminal and deviant lifestyle which is a very theme throughout the film.

We liked the simplistic of it, the one word makes it catchy but also memorable. As well it connotes the very important theme of violence in the film.

Our film shows the devastating affects an action like this can have, showing his girlfriend distraught and scared for her own safety. How living this lifestyle has dire consequences for everyone involved. Brings fourth the idea of maturity and growth of the characters throughout, how all characters have developed from the people they once were.

The main reason why we chose this as a possible titles was due to the fact that all the scenes are set in the location of Birmingham, the plotline revolves around the city, showing numerous locations of Birmingham.

We were aware that not many films are set around this location, so we wanted to bring to life those who do live in the West Midlands providing an insight to life in the West Midlands.

However we realised that the fact that the consensus of social realism films centre around the outskirts of London, so we would be taking a massive risk. That people appear to have a negative stereotyping of those in the West Midlands and may not be interested in seeing a film that is about the people that live there. This was an aspect that we had to take into consideration when choosing.

Brum was possible title for the same reason, we felt that Brum was short and too the point, that fact it is slang also connotes the idea that the film is aimed towards young adolescents.

Runaway is a title that can be seen to be more metaphoric, it is a title that can be seen as very ambiguous it has numerous meanings and can relate to the majority of characters.

The obvious meaning of this title goes back to the character Alex, after being lead into the gang lifestyle he is left with some tough choices. However being lead a stray he has no option but to leave his old life behind in search for a new one. However Alex goes on a journey of self discovery not only is running away of a physical place but also leaving behind a part of his old self to become someone else.

Not only does this title represent the character Alex but may also help represent the character Jordan. Not only is Alex running away from who he is but so is Jordan she wants to make a fresh start and leave behind the life she once knew and the boy she loved. However will she be able to make such a huge change when it means leaving someone she has loved for so long.
