Synopsis

• “Different Perspectives” is a sci-fi comedy/drama that takes place in a world very much like our own. Elliott, the main character, is a struggling screenwriter who lives in an average town where nothing ever happens. After he has a strange dream, he becomes aware of cameras that seem to follow him everywhere, and begins to have premonitions about events shortly before they occur. He goes on a hunt to discover the truth about his world, and faces off against the one who controls his reality: The Director.

Character Profiles• Elliott Moulding

• Average height, messy light-brown hair, brown eyes, dark glasses. Doesn’t stand out in a crowd, almost nondescript.

• Age: Around 25

• Elliott is a struggling screenwriter who works for the local television station. He is quiet, and a bit paranoid, the “absent-minded professor” type. He is not taken seriously by anyone, he is seen as more of an amusement. As the story progresses, Elliott becomes more self-assured and aware, although everyone around him still views him as he was in the beginning. Elliott is incredibly loyal to his friends, even when they are not as kind as they should be. He is braver than others give him credit for, and has a stubborn side.

• Elena Smith

• Average height, curly auburn hair, green eyes, needs glasses to read.

• Age: Around 25

• Elena is Elliott’s girlfriend, who works as a personal assistant to a producer at the same television studio Elliott works at. She is the opposite of Elliott, confident and a people person. She tries to encourage Elliott to improve himself, and pushes him, often to his great discomfort. She is also strong-willed, and intelligent.

Character Profiles• The Director

• Slightly shorter than average height, overweight, bald, blue eyes, round glasses. The way he carries himself and his mannerisms make him stand out.

• Age: Around 35-40.

• The Director remains nameless throughout the show, known only as “The Director” to everyone else. He is brash, rude, and extremely confident. He is not much to look at, but carries himself like he is. He is very assured of his own intelligence, which causes him to make mistakes. He looks down on everyone in the show, believing them to be almost like puppets or characters in a video game. He is also very persuasive and manipulative.

• Vince Price

• Tall, dark hair and eyes, rather imposing looking. He has a deep, gruff voice, and uses his size to his advantage.

• Age: 45

• Vince is partners with Tom, and is definitely the brains of the outfit. He is stoic and taciturn, only talking when absolutely necessary. He believes he is much more frightening than he really is. Although in the beginning of the show he is portrayed as the “villain”, it is revealed that he is very much an ordinary man, and is more of a gentle giant than he seems.

• Tom Jonas

• Average height, blonde hair, dark eyes. Muscular and somewhat clumsy.

• Age: 40

• Tom is Vince’s partner. He is somewhat bumbling in comparison to Vince. He tends to blurt out whatever he is thinking, even if it is not necessary or helpful. Like Vince, Tom is portrayed as more of a villain at the beginning of the show, and then is revealed to be on Elliott’s side.
