April 1st, 2012Today was a very exciting day! Its the day I made my way into the soil. Its very comfy here. I think I want to stay here for a while. Maybe even forever!

April 5th, 2012Something weird started to happen this morning. I was minding my own business when I cracked and some green stuff started to come out of me! Am I sick??

April 6th, 2012Okay, everything is fine. I remembered something my mom said something about me becoming more than just a seed. I think the green thing that I saw was my primary root sticking out.

April 9th, 2012My dry and cozy soil is now wet and just, gross. I wonder why that is As wet as it is, I think its a good thing. My roots (I have roots now!!), are soaking up the waterit feels nice.

April 14th, 2012Wow! I thought I never wanted to leave the soil but now that my stem is growing, I can see ABOVE the soil. I just wish I was taller Also, waters nicebut Im hungry..

So maybe the soil isnt the best for looking at

April 19th, 2012THIS IS SO COOL!! I am a foot tall! And Im more than just roots and a stem I have leaves! They are perfect for soaking up all the energy from the sun. I think thats how I can make my food.

April 20th, 2012I was right. Leaves help me get the sunlight to make food. I think thats called photosynthesis. That might explain why I am growing kind of crooked, towards where the sun is.

Stretch

April 30th, 2012I am so tall now its fantastic! Ive got a lot more leaves, and my stem is so long. It is kind of sad that its raining though, I miss the sun. The rain is good for my roots, so I guess thats okay.

May 5th, 2012I guess April Showers do bring May Flowers. I have bloomed! I still dont really know what I am but I have little buds all over me!! I do know that they have seeds in them somewhere, so I can make more of me! So cool!

May 11th, 2012Fruit! Ive got fruit! At least, I think I do. They are little green things that are coming out of where the flowers were. Some of them are getting bigger, and changing from green, to some other color.

May 21st, 2012I now know what I am, and I am surprised. Those green things were unripe tomatoes! I was a tomato seed, but now Im a fantastic tomato plant. Those tomatoes have the seeds to make more plants like me.
