Diaphragm and Peristaltic Technology TheCHEM-TECHfamilyiscomprisedofeithermechanicaldiaphragmmeteringpumpsandperistalticmeteringpumps.Diaphragm Pumps-Thekeyelementwhichdifferentiatesthesepumpsfromothertypesistheelastomerdiaphragm.Thisdiaphragmissealedagainstthereagentheadformingaseal-less,leakfreepumpingchamber.Themotorisconnectedtothediaphragmtocreatethepumpingmotion.Asthediaphragmmovesawayfromthefaceofthereagenthead,itcreatesavacuumwhichclosesthedischargecheckvalveandopensthesuctioncheckvalve,drawingthepumpedfluidintothepumpingchamber.Asthemotorforcesthediaphragmtowardthefaceofthereagenthead,thesuctioncheckvalveclosesandthedischargecheckvalveopensallowingtheliquidtoflowoutthedischargevalve.Peristaltic Pumps- Theheadonaperistalticpumpconsistsofapieceoftubingandarollerassemblythatmoveschemicalaroundthecircularhead.Theengineeredcomposite,threepiecerollerassemblyreduces friction,whileallowingagreater loadcapacityand longer tube life.No toolsare required toremovethetubing;StainlessSteelwingboltsallowforquickandeasytubereplacementwhenneeded.
