1. Introduction
The mining claims registered to Michael W. Kilbourne in the Larder Lake Mining Division 80. were recorded in September 2003 in the following townships (see Figure 1): Holmes Tw-p. - Claims 3008901,3008902,3008903 Burt Twp. - Claims 3008899, 3008908, 30075] 0 Gross Twp. - 3008900, 3008906 Flavelle Twp. - 3008904. 3008905.
These 10 claims compose 117 Units (each 16 Ha) in size cover an under-explored part of the prolific Kirkland - Larder Lake Break between the two gold mining camps, Kirkland Lake to the east and Matchewan to the west.
Mr. Kilbourne has called this property, Island 27 Gold (Figure 2) and requested the author's geological services to contract out and supervise the diamond drilling, core logging, and core sawing., sampling and filing a drilling repOlt for the assessment credit on his claims.
Initial prospecting along the various gravel roads and Hwy. 66 was done to familiarize the author of the local rock types, alteration, mineralization and structures. Rock samples were collected with GPS points although no assays were requested at this time. The drill hole locations were requested by Mr. Kilbourne, based on the current data and his previous work in the surrounding area.
2. Location and Access
The property is centered along the east-west Hwy 66 and the intersection of the four townships, Holmes, Burt, Flavelle and Gross (see Figure 1). Numerous logging roads provide access north and south ofHwy. 66.
Access to the recent drilling in June 2005 is along Hwy 66, Skm east ofHwy 65 or 1.8 km west of the Flavel1e I Gross Township sign, then approximately 800m north along a gravel road. The water was less than O.5m depth on the gravel road. The drill was setup in the southern part of Holmes Twp., mining claim number 3008903 with UTM (WGS84) collar coordinates 5318242m N, 542923m 314m elevation, -25m east of the gravel-- sand road, and north of the creek
3. General Geology
The J 0 claims are underlain by Archean felsic, intermediate and mafic metavolcanic rocks, with intrusive diabase dykes and metasedimentary rocks. LocaUy these are intruded by felsic plutonic rocks. Gowganda Formation sedimentary rocks of the Cobalt Group of the Huronian Supergroup unconformably overlie the Archean rocks (B. R. Berger, 2004).

Figure 2 is a map of prominent geological units, prominent structural reatures and m~ior gold camps oftbe Abitibi belt in northeastern Ontario This map is a re-digitized copy of the famous Map 2205, Timmins-Kirkland Lake Geological Compilation Series, Cochrane, Sudbury and Timaskarning Districts, published in 1973. Much of the clutter was removed during digitizing to simplify the overall picture. Nothing has been embellished or geo-fantasized to promote its features. Each of the major gold camps are spatially associated with the intersection of a major east-west trending break: and a northsouth (approximate) trending fault. Island 27 Gold claim group is at the intersection of the Kirkland Lake-Larder Lake Break and the NW-SE Cross Lake Fault (along the Englehart River) on the eastern part of the property These "breaks I faults" are interpreted as potential conduits for gold mineralization.
4. Diamond Drilling
From June 3 to June 14, 200S, Summit Drilling Services of Sudbury was contracted and diamond drilled 317.5m of A-Thinwall (A TK 1 and 3116" core) in two holes. 196m in hole IS27 -05-01 on 1500 azimuth and 121.5m in lS27 -05-02 on 1700 azimuth.
Both drill holes (Figures 3, 4 & 5) were collared at -50 degrees in south eastern Holmes Twp in the SW corner of Lot 2, Conc.l and targeted southward towards the coincident positive Keating coefficient and magnetic anomaly (DGS 2004 Airboume magnetic survey) with the induced polarization (M.Kilbourne 2003 - re: Inmei's 1996 geophysical survey) IP anomaly along the Holmes -Flavelle Twp boundary.
5. Drill Hole Geology
The two drill holes both collared and stayed withln the Gabbro Unit No.8 (Metamorphosed Tholeittic Mafic Intrusive Rocks) from Berger, B.R. 2004 preliminary Map P.3554. {Refer to Appendix 1 Drill Logs}
The gabbro varied from a medium grained, green-grey, strongly magnetic mesocratic -melanocratic gabbro to a fine-medium grained, light bright gr~"enish grey, non-magnetic, altered (sericite, epidote, quartz and carbonate as fracture -fillings < 5mm, pervasive patches) leucocratic gabbro in proximity to the termed "contact breccia" sections. These breccia units appear to have mafic, gabbroic and local diabase fragments with locally obscure contacts and all cross-cut by weak to moderate quartz-carbonate fracture -fillings and various degrees of alteration.

6. Mineralization
Several narrow weak shear zones were intersected locally infilled witb quartz - carbonate and disseminated sulphides although assays generally were nil to 0.08 grams per tonne gold.
Mineralization consisted of chalcopyrite, p}Tite, p}Tohotite trace specks, trace to 5% disseminations to local blebs within the gabbro and as blebs within the altered quartzcarbonate-epidote fracture fillings. Also, very fine grained, "no-see·um" sulphides were noted.
The best Au assay was 0.33 glt over 055 meters right below the quartz shear in hole IS27-05-02 at 117.85 - 118.55m. Weighted averaging this value with the sample above resulted in 0.27 glt Au over 1.2m. {Refer to Appendix 2 Analytical results.}
Whole Rock Analysis was done on the upper gabbro unit in Hole IS27 -05-0 I from 18 to 21m down the hole. Sample number 86007 returned values as listed in the Table 1 below:
